Meet David & Anna

We’re David and Anna, a creative couple from Dublin who fell in love with the meditative art of dot painting. What started as a way to unwind after busy days has grown into our passion project – creating beautiful, handcrafted dot mandala art that brings calm and beauty into people’s homes.

How It All Began

It was during lockdown when Anna first discovered dot painting videos online. “I was looking for something to quiet my mind,” she says. “There was something magical about watching thousands of tiny dots come together to form these intricate, symmetrical patterns.”

David was initially skeptical. “I thought it looked repetitive and boring,” he admits with a laugh. “But when Anna showed me her first finished piece, I was amazed. The detail, the precision, the way the colors flowed together – I had to try it myself.”

Our Process

Every piece we create is hand-dotted using acrylic paints and dotting tools. No stencils, no shortcuts – just hours of careful, meditative work. We start with a vision, sketch our design, and then slowly build up layers of dots, watching the mandala come to life.

“People often ask how long a piece takes,” David explains. “A small mandala might take 8-10 hours, while our larger pieces can take weeks. But that’s part of the beauty – every dot is placed with intention.”

Why We Do This

Beyond the joy of creating, we’ve discovered that dot mandalas have a profound effect on both the artist and the viewer. The repetitive nature of dotting is deeply meditative, while the finished pieces radiate a sense of harmony and balance.

“We’ve had customers tell us our art helped them through difficult times,” Anna shares. “One woman said our mandala in her bedroom helped calm her anxiety. That’s when we knew this was more than just art – it’s therapy, it’s peace, it’s a little bit of magic.”

Working from our small studio in Dublin, we pour our hearts into every piece. Each mandala is unique, carrying the energy and intention of the hours we spent creating it.
